Before she opened her private practice, she was an Assistant District Attorney for Bronx County in New York. In that position, and in previous positions as a law clerk, she researched and drafted legal memoranda on both criminal law and procedural issues.
She earned her Degree of Juris Doctor from CUNY Law School at Queens College in 1989, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Herbert H. Lehman College in 1976. She is fluent in Spanish.
She has seen criminal law processes from both the prosecutorial and defense sides and knows how to navigate the system to your advantage.
